Cameroon's Supreme Court audit bench reportedly found up to 30 irregularities at two ministries over COVID-19 emergency funds

At the request of opposition MP Jean-Michel Nintcheu, an inquiry was opened into Cameroon's COVID-19 emergency funds, which SPARC puts at about XAF 180 billion (US$360 million), including a US$270 million IMF facility. VOA reported in May 2021 that most of a US$335 million IMF loan could not be accounted for.
